T-6 TEXAN II, and HARRIER SCHEDULES
Status of Military Demonstrations and Static Displays for 2003 Airshows
Air Combat Command and the Navy will continue to provide single-ship demonstrations throughout the 2003 season. CF-18 Hornets will be demonstrating this show season without interruptions as well.
B-1, B-2, B-52, and F-117 flyovers and/or static displays will be minimal, depending on the demand needed for the respective aircraft types for the war in Iraq. The same goes for all transports, tankers, recon aircraft, and special-ops aircraft.
There will be fighters, bombers, and attack aircraft in North America and they will provide static displays at many airshow sites, whereever possible. Any show site found to have any transports, tankers, recons, and/or special-ops aircraft in their static displays this year will be very lucky.
Trainers (T-1A, T-2C, T-6II, T-34, T-37, T-38, T-45, etc.) will still provide their static displays as usual this year.
Helicopters of all sorts might be on short supply because of the war.
